On October 23, 2025 a suspect murdered a victim in a double shooting on Hoskins Road Charlotte, NC. The suspect then shot at cops in a high speed chase and was killed by police during a shootout on city streets. Bringing the National Guard into Charlotte has been a hot topic.

At 4 p.m., officers responded to multiple calls regarding a double shooting on Hoskins Road and Black Avenue. Two victims had sustained gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
One victim died at the hospital. The suspect in this case later forced his way into a nearby home, kidnapped a female victim and left the residence in a stolen vehicle.
Officers observed the suspect vehicle and initiated a pursuit. The suspect then began shooting at officers, the cops were so scared. But unfortunately no cops were shot or killed.
After a short pursuit, the suspect exited the vehicle and continued to shoot in the direction at police officers.
Cops shot back and hit the suspect multiple times with gunfire. The suspect was pronounced deceased on scene.
But the suspect did manage to shoot into multiple police vehicles during this incident. The kidnapped female victim was not shot. Four officers are being evaluated at the hospital as a precautionary measure.
